Covering Swakopmund, Damaraland and Etosha in Namibia as well as the Okavango Delta, Moremi & Chobe in Botswana. This itinerary starts in Windhoek and ends in Victoria Falls with a 50/50 split between camping and lodges.

Arrive into Windhoek Hosea Kutako airport where you transfer to spend the first night at Guesthouse Terra Africa – a small friendly guest house near the centre of Windhoek.
Pick up your vehicle and equipment in Windhoek and head west to Swakopmund, Namibia’s famous coastal town. Accommodation here is at Sandcastle Apartments. Swakopmund is a very interesting town, with old German architecture and a distinct character.
In the morning you will do a “Living Desert Tour” – a unique guided tour which brings the desert to life.
The next two nights are at Madisa Campsite. Attractions in the area include the Twyfelfontein rock paintings, the Petrified Forest, and the Organ Pipes.
Head north to spend the next three nights in and around Etosha National Park. The first night is spent at Okaukuejo in the south of Etosha.
Etosha covers an area of more than 22 000 sq kms – its centre being a vast saltpan surrounded by grass and thorn savannah, Mopane bushland in the west and dry forest in the north-east. Spend the next night at Halali.
The final night in Etosha is spent at Onguma Tamboti campsite in the Onguma concession to the east of Etosha.
Drive north to the western Caprivi, spending the next two nights at River Dance Lodge 20km west of Divundu. Accommodation is in a water front chalet overlooking the river.
Cross into Botswana and head to Thamalakane River Lodge, where you spend the next two nights. Thamalakane is attractively situated 10km north of Maun by the river.
Today you will do a half day mokoro (dug-out canoe) guided trip into the Delta. Your guide will show you the fauna and flora of the delta area as you meander along the channels and waterways. The trip includes a packed lunch and you will leave your vehicle at the lodge, returning back in the late afternoon.
Drive to Moremi Game Reserve – on the edge of the Okavango Delta. Moremi is on the edge of the Okavango Delta and is one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations in Africa. Spend the first night camping at Third Bridge.
The next night is spent at Khwai campsite in the north of Moremi.
Travel through the Chobe National Park, spending the next two nights at the famous Savuti campsite. Savuti is famous for its elephants, lions and hyenas, all of which visit the campsite area.
Spend the next night camping at Muchenje campsite from where you will explore the western riverfront area of the park. Muchenje is located in the Chobe Enclave overlooking the Chobe floodplain.
Continue to Kasane where you return the vehicle. Accommodation is at Pangolin Chobe Hotel on a fully inclusive basis. Specialist photographic activities are included – either a river cruise or game drive along the Chobe Riverfront. The river cruise is a highlight of many a visitor’s trip to Botswana and Pangolin offer by far the best river cruise option.
Transfer across the border to Victoria Falls, spending the night at Batonka Guest Lodge, situated in a quiet residential area 1km from the town centre. The Zimbabwean side has approximately 2/3 of the fall’s frontage and the falls are easily viewed on foot.
