Start your trip with a visit to the famous Sossusvlei dunes before heading to the north of Botswana where you spend a week exploring the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Chobe. End the trip with a night in Victoria Falls.

Day 1

Arrive into Windhoek Hosea Kutako airport and transfer to spend the first night at Guesthouse Terra Africa – a small friendly guest house in the suburbs of Windhoek.

Day 2 – 3

Pick up your vehicle and equipment and drive south through spectacular scenery to the NamibRand Nature reserve where you spend two nights at Namibrand Hideout  campsite – one of the most spectacular campsite locations in all of Namibia.

Day 4

Travel to the Sossusvlei area of the Namib Naukluft Park. Your next night is spent at Sesriem campsite inside the protected area. Camping at Sesriem means you will be able to get to the Sossusvlei dunes at sunrise when photography is at its best.

Day 5

After spending the morning at Sossusvlei drive north to the Namib Naukluft National Park where you spend the night camping at Namib Desert Lodge.

Day 6

Head back to Windhoek, spending the night at Guesthouse Terra Africa

Day 7

Cross into Botswana and make your way east, spending the night camping at Thakadu Camp near Ghanzi. Here you stock up on supplies for the Central Kalahari.

Day 8

Drive to Maun where you stock up on supplies ready for your trip to Moremi and Chobe. Spend the next night at Crocodile Camp on the outskirts of Maun by the Thamalakane River.

Day 9

Today you will do a half day mokoro (dug-out canoe) guided trip into the Delta. Your guide will show you the fauna and flora of the delta area as you meander along the channels and waterways. The trip includes a packed lunch and you will leave your vehicle at the lodge, returning back in the late afternoon.

Day 10 – 11

Drive to Moremi Game Reserve – on the edge of the Okavango Delta. Moremi is on the edge of the Okavango Delta and is one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations in Africa. Spend two nights camping at Khwai campsite.

Day 12 – 13

Travel through the Chobe National Park, spending the next two nights at the famous Savuti campsite. Savuti is famous for its elephants, lions and hyenas, all of which visit the campsite area.

Day 14

Spend the next night camping at Muchenje campsite from where you will explore the western riverfront area of the park. Muchenje is located in the Chobe Enclave overlooking the Chobe floodplain.

Day 15

Drive along the riverfront to Kasane where you spend the night at The Old House. In the afternoon you will do a sunset river cruise along the Chobe River. This is a highlight of many a visitor’s trip to Botswana, and amazing sights such as elephant crossing the river to feed on the grassy islands are never forgotten.

Day 16

Transfer to Victoria Falls, where you spend the final night. Accommodation is at Lokuthula Lodges, 4km from the falls and next door to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and the famous Boma restaurant.
