Central Kalahari, Okavango Delta
Fly into Maun from where you transfer by light aircraft to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The Central Kalahari is one of the world’s largest reserves, at nearly 53,000km2. Accommodation for the first three nights is at Tau Pan Camp in the northern part of the reserve. Tau Pan Camp is run by Kwando Safaris, who have a reputation for quality of service. The rooms are situated on a vegetated dune overlooking the pan.
Transfer by light aircraft to Mma Dinare, in the southern Okavango. The camp is located in a 272 km2 private concession, adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve, on the south eastern side of the Delta. The camp overlooks the Gomoti River and its flood plains. Accommodation is in Meru-style safari tents on raised platforms with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks.
Transfer by light aircraft to Pom Pom Camp. The camp is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta on the Xudum river. Accommodation is in Meru-style safari tents on raised platforms with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks. Game drives (day and night) are conducted by qualified and experienced guides, and you will be able to explore the Okavango Delta by mokoro or motorboat, as well as taking part in guided nature walks on the many surrounding islands while at Pom Pom Camp.
