Day 1

Fly into Maun and transfer to spend the first two nights at Crocodile Camp on the outskirts of Maun by the Thamalakane River.

Day 2

Today you will do a half day mokoro (dug-out canoe) guided trip into the Delta. Your guide will show you the fauna and flora of the delta area as you meander along the channels and waterways. The trip includes a packed lunch.

Day 3

Pick up your vehicle in Maun and head south to spend the next night at Boteti River Camp on the banks of the Boteti River.

Day 4

Continue to Planet Baobab – a traditionally styled grass hut village shaded by giant baobab trees which are lit up at night.

Day 5

Leave your vehicle at Planet Baobab while you do a guided overnight trip to Ntwetwe Pan. Visit the meerkats on the way, where you have the opportunity to get close to these incredible creatures. After that you board quad bikes at the edge of the pan and drive out to where you will camp – on the pan itself. As the sun goes down, you will enjoy a barbeque dinner, before snuggling into your bedrolls under the Makgadikgadi night sky. Return to Planet Baobab the following morning after breakfast.

Day 6

From Planet Baobab you travel north to Elephant Sands, attractively situated 50km north of Nata in a classic bushveld setting. There is a waterhole which attracts large numbers of elephant and other game, as the name implies.

Day 7

Continue to Kasane where you spend the night two nights at The Old House. In the afternoon you will do a sunset river cruise along the Chobe River. This is a highlight of many a visitor’s trip to Botswana, and amazing sights such as elephant crossing the river to feed on the grassy islands are never forgotten.

Day 8

Today you will do a day trip to the Victoria Falls, leaving your vehicle at the lodge.

Day 9

After spending the morning in the western riverfront drive to camp for the next night at Thobolos Bush Lodge, 30km outside of Chobe National Park. The lodge overlooks the largest natural pan in the area, Barangwe Pan, which is home to large numbers of species such as elephant, buffalo, eland, kudu, sable, roan, impala, warthog and many other smaller species visiting on a constant basis.

Day 10 – 11

Drive to Savuti in the Chobe National Park. Savuti is one of the most famous wildlife areas in Botswana, well known for its elephants, lions and hyenas. Apart from being one of Africa’s prime game viewing areas, Savuti is also stunningly beautiful, with rocky outcrops, and rolling grassland interspersed with dead trees. Accommodation is at Camp Savuti, in an en-suite meru style tent, inclusive of meals and activities.

Day 12 – 13

The next two nights are at Khwai Guesthouse just outside Khwai village on the northern boundary of Moremi Game Reserve. Game drives in the concession as well as in Moremi itself are conducted. Accommodation on both nights is on a full board basis with 4x guided activities in the area.

Day 14

Return the vehicle in Maun and spend the night again at Crocodile Camp before transferring to the airport the following day.
